Rene C. Wehbe, MD is a Post-Doctoral Intern of ANWAN Wellness Center Enterprises, while he awaits his residency in Internal/Family Medicine. He serves as both Executive Coordinator of the POH Foundation and Executive Medical Assistant of the ANWAN Wellness Medical Center. Dr. Wehbe graduated The Ross University School of Medicine in November of 2015 and simultaneously worked as an Assistant Physician part-time in Connecticut, as well as a Medical School Tutor part-time in New Jersey, before coming to work for Dr. Christie at ANWAN. Prior to medical school, Dr. Wehbe attended and graduated The University of Connecticut in May of 2010 with a Major (Bachelor of Science) in the Biological Sciences, as well as a Minor in Molecular & Cell Biology. Dr. Wehbe has spent considerable time, before medical school, serving his community in his capacity as a fundraiser for the “Jimmy Fund”, “Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation”, and “Food for Friends”, as well as volunteering his services as an EMT-B at St. Mary’s Hospital, department of emergency medicine, in Waterbury, Connecticut.
Originally from the country of Lebanon, Dr. Wehbe moved with his family to the United States in 1987, and has lived in the Connecticut and New England region of the US for the past 29 years. Prior to his career in medicine, Dr. Wehbe worked as an onsite manager and customer service expert for a Fortune 500 company, as well as in Private Law Enforcement. On his off time, Dr. Wehbe enjoys many activities – including Astronomy, Aviation, Martial Arts, and Pistol Marksmanship Training. He is currently married to Mrs. Elizabeth Wehbe, and hoping to adopt soon.
